Promising Woman

No comments:
You thought you were spoken for
Yet the words from his lips never uttered your name
You were a promising woman
With a man promising you the world
You failed to see the Universe was inside you
Expectations of the future clouded you from seeing the man behind the
façade
You dreamt of his skin clinging to yours
Feeling your insides
You loosened your tight reputation to let him gain entry to your soul
You are just a number
Waiting your turn to see the man of your dreams
You picked a seat in the crowded office & waited until you heard 23

Your Heart... Is His

You gave him your heart
You might as well give him your lungs, your kidneys, your brain, your body
What on earth do you need those for?
Why did you give him your heart?
Don’t you need that?
If he loved you he wouldn’t of grabbed it out your hand with dirty fingernails
Do you know how it feels to have someones heart beating in your palm?
He didn’t know what to do with it so he closed his fist & crushed it

Peace King!

Peace to all the Kings whom nurture, protect and provide for their child(ren) every single day. You’re supreme individuals.

Peace to all the Kings who are expecting and preparing for the arrival of a newborn baby. You’re loved and valued.

Peace to all the Kings whom take care of children whom aren’t biologically their own, yet still protect, provide and nurture their growth!

Peace to all the Kings whom raise their child(ren) on their own. You are amazing individuals and need to be celebrated daily.

Peace to the King in my womb. Swimming around and kicking mommy every day, reminding her how valued her life is!

I asked you if you would still respect me
You told me not to worry
That you would take my fears away
With every stroke of pain you caused
We lay nestled on the grass as nature witnessed this union
Planes flew over our heads

You laid your jacket down as you punctured me on a bed of flowers
I opened for you like daisies in full bloom
Your eyes pierced into mine as you removed all guilt with your fingertips

Your lips replaced pillows on this makeshift bed
My brown eyes were fixated on the blue skyline after every deep breath that was exhaled
My thoughts resembled cumulus clouds
I held on as you pulled me closer
I clenched on the grass for support
The sun went down but you continued to rise
As we lay there intertwined...
