The [Law] Of Attraction

He was in love with me
All of me But it was too late when I finally noticed it
In his eyes I could do no wrong
I was perfect
When I cried he didn't see pain, he seen rebirth
He stares at my number in his phone, wondering if he should spark conversation with the woman of his dreams
He wishes he was the one I seen, explored

He had dreams of picnics in July, museums in the nighttime
I would be his brown-skin muse he would draw from
He would watch me eagerly as I undressed in the mirror for him
The sounds of his camera flashed
I danced to the rhythms of his lense
My voice would make goosebumps appear all over his skin
I yearned for him
Hotel rooms would be our escape
New York was the meeting place

Two separate souls united in the midst of distance
I imagined one day exchanging rings
Collecting foreign paintings
With him

In his eyes I could do no wrong
I was perfect

The Love Letter Movement | Poetic Series of Love

1 comment:
It is no secret that I love receiving love letters and writing them. I think they are the most honest form of communication dating back to the beginning of time. Love Letters are just as valuable if not more cherished than our favourite material things. We cling to them and even if we put them away they are still close to our hearts.

I have officially began the "love letter movement" I've been wanting to do since last year. The "love letter movement" is a series of handwritten "love" notes to unsuspecting people. These notes are placed in secretive places. You can find them in books, newspapers, magazines, envelopes, shelves. Anywhere.

Everyone needs to be reminded that they have purpose and that they are loved. Whether its from a friend...or a stranger.

They will be dated and initialed with WJ. Will you join on this random act of love?
---
I'm aware these letters could end up lost amongst the litter in the street, thrown out or cherished forever. However, my words will always have a place among the Universe.

"Darker times
They're tellin boulder heavy lies
Looks like all we've got is each other
The truth is obsolete
Remember when all I had was my mother
She didn't compromise
She could recognize, voodoo
Our daughters and our sons
Are just candles in the sun, voodoo
Don't let him see divide, mmmm
Don't you let her see divide
Voodoo

She's got the whole wide world in her Juicy Fruit
He's got the whole wide world in his pants
He wrapped the whole wide world in a wedding band
Then put the whole wide world on her hands
She's got the whole wide world in her hands
He's got the whole wide world in his hands
His hands

My Santa Monica Dream |

Time restricts us
Energy connects us
The fallacy of clocks do not apply to us
You have become the stars that look upon me at night through my windowpane
I eagerly look back in the midst of darkness welcoming your light into my room each night
You make me feel like a child on the playground
I just wanna stay down in this daze
Perhaps on a bed
Laying with you
I thirst for you
I used to think I was insane because I fell for your essence soo quickly
But I pity those who will never get to experience your divine entity
Butterflies line my stomach as I write this for my King
We will go through transformations together in the midst of our separation
Beneath your skin
In your chest
Their lies a heart beating me for me
Longing for my supreme touch and gentle kisses
I want to experience you in the most beautiful way
My lips were meant for you to caress
For you to experience
I imagine us nose to nose
While you contemplate the perfect time to float with my canvas
Spiritually
Sexually
Mentally - I've already decided you're the one that was destined for me
I just want your head between me as I twist your hair
While you kiss my legs beside your cheekbones
This is not a poem but a mere expression how I feel for you - right now
It will change
Feelings will shift
Emotions will develop
But I know it will only intensify for you
You have become the root of my new-found love
You are the King of my dreams

The Reign

You make me feel like the rain
On a mild spring day
Raindrops cover the grass as they politely welcome them back onto their evergreen blades
You make your presence known
The nights approaching
You combat the sun with your storm of plight
The volume in your tears form puddles of opportunity
For men
Ready
To rescue damsels in distress with their overcoats
You overflow - Yet always deliver natures daily need
Your aura is best combined with Thelonious and Miles playing in the background
Setting the evening's tone

The cloudiness in the sky set the city asleep but the apartments alive
Your drizzle on the windowpane
Spark a plethora of passion
The downpour of your precipitation makes it easy to assume positions of penetration without much speculation

You open up flowers to full bloom in the stream of your darkness
Giving them room - to grow
To expand in your wetness
A delicate delicacy

Your shower caresses their petals - igniting a burst of floral fragrant bouquets
Your hail impacts the tulips the most
Her hands grip the edge of the King bed
He holds onto his Queen
I travel through his faint moans
High off your sound

I'm elated that you came for me
Covered me
Rained on me
Forming a liquid crown around his head
I want to reign with thee

You make me feel like the rain
On a mild spring day...
